The MSR Modular Series

Dynamic Decision Making

The MSR, with optimized onboard signal processing and high speed wireless communication capabilities, delivers geotechnical data and alarming functionality in real time. This translates to a comprehensive understanding of slope stability performance in an environment where dynamic decision making ensures improved safety and increased productivity.

True 3D Data

Able to uniquely resolve multiple points within a single beam, the MSR delivers a high quality self-generated point cloud without relying on additional third party mechanisms. The MSR can be used for permanent stability monitoring as well as the ad hoc monitoring or surveying of other areas such as waste dumps or tailings dams. The result is a product that offers unrivalled flexibility and functionality within any mining operation.

Optimized Mine Design

Because the initial pit design contains a variety of unknowns, the back analysis of past failures becomes imperative. With the MSR’s advanced data handling and storage capabilities, 3-Dimensional georeferenced movement and surveying data can be exported to a variety of third party mine planning software packages. This means that the slope design can be constantly optimised as new knowledge of the underlying mechanics at play is unearthed.

Integrated Slope Monitoring

An integrated slope monitoring program improves safety and increases productivity. With the MSR, radar data along with 3D vector data from Automatic Total Stations and extensometers are displayed on the same interface, and in real time. Users are able to rapidly identify changing slope conditions and make better informed decisions.

All weather Application

Using proprietary next generation software algorithms, the MSR provides movement data. That means the MSR can reliably operate regardless of slope mechanics. And in all environmental conditions, including fog, rain, smoke and dust. The result is exceptionally accurate geotechnical data when it is needed most.

Powerful Software

MSR Connect is the reason that there’s nothing quite like the MSR. Because Reutech engineered both the hardware and the software, everything is designed to work together seamlessly. It brings together cutting edge radar hardware with powerful software to offer a revolutionary slope monitoring radar that is at the forefront of technology.

Customized Solutions

The MSR’s modular building blocks takes customization to whole new level. The Radar Module forms the foundation of the solution and can be supplied with a variety of power and mounting options. Intended to evolve with operational and budgetary requirements, the MSR offers customized solutions for every operation’s unique requirements.

Global Support Network

With MSRs deployed in over 22 countries across the globe, Reutech boasts an impressive network of service agents and experienced geotechnical consultancy partners. Users always get the most out of their MSR no matter where they are located.

Multi-Purpose Platform

Summary

Intended for going anywhere at any time, the MP2 offers a mounting platform for a variety of different sensors and equipment. The platform has been designed with modularity in mind and can be configured for various user requirements. With advanced tamperproof mechanisms, the MP2 is purpose built for the most challenging of operational conditions with intelligent circuitry that ensures a reliable uniterrupted power supply.

Camera System

The MP2 is also able to host Reutech’s powerful Slope Visionsolution. This high quality Internet Protocol camera makes use of existing on-site data networks to provide both visual and video capturing capabilities. When installed on the MP2 a fully mobile and self-sufficient solution is realised. Extensive research, in collaboration with our industry partners has proven that the MP2 fitted with a Slope Vision offers clients unprecedented flexibility and benefits.

In-Pit Alarm System

The increased focus on extreme mobility in rapidly changing mining environments, has produced the need for mining personnel to rely on a secondary alarming device as an extra measure of precaution. The MP2 in an In Pit Alarm Configuration meets this need by providing both visual and audible alarm capabilities. These secondary alarms are remotely activated when either one of the primary dual user-defined alarms are triggered on the MSR. The In Pit Alarm System is paired to a MSR via a high-speed wireless data link, allowing it to be deployed anywhere within the mine.

Personal Alarming Devices

The MP2 can be configured to host the Personal Alarming Device transmitter. The PAD is a small wireless communication device that displays alphanumeric messages accompanied by audible and vibrating alerts. This is a suitable option for users whose critical monitoring activities require the immediate alert of certain groups of operators in the form of a customised message. Multiple Personal Alarming Devices can be paired with a single MSR and devices can also be grouped according to operational activity.

Automatic Weather System

An automatic weather station, consisting of a temperature and humidity sensor, wind speed and direction sensor, air pressure sensor and precipitation sensor, can also be installed on the MP2. All weather data is stored via an onboard data logger and can be accessed at any time. Users interested in correlating weather information, for example rainfall, with movement activity will be able import the logged weather data directly into the MSR’s software.

WiFi Repeating Station

The MP2, when configured as a repeater station provides a dedicated high speed network link for reliable data transfer. The MP2 connects to all devices within a 3600 radius located within a 5 km line of sight through an omnidirectional antenna that radiates radio wave power uniformly in all directions. Data is relayed from the MP2 to the closest access point by means of a second powerful directional antenna. Multiple repeater stations can be linked together to establish a high speed wireless connection to devices deployed in even the most remote parts of an operation. Power supply autonomy is achieved through onboard batteries charged by high capacity solar panels, offering maximum uptime and minimal maintenance. The mobile nature of the MPP promotes flexibility as the network can easily be relocated to adapt to rapidly changing operational requirements.

Slope Vision

Summary

The Slope Vision system comprising of a high-definition camera system and advanced software enables the user to command the camera to specific georeferenced coordinates or points of interest.

While performing real-time monitoring, utilising the Movement and Surveying Radar (MSR), Slope Vision provides the user with a high-definition PTZ camera system to monitor all operation in the field of view. Once the MSR detects instability the Slope Vision can be task to investigate a specific point for any period of time without affecting the operation of the radar.

Slope Vision is an essential situational awareness tool that will provide value in the geotechnical environment.

Autonomism

The camera of the Slope Vision solution can be mounted on a Reutech MSR, Reutech MPP or a fixed point on the mine site. The images are digitally transmitted to the Slope Vision software and can provide footage of any selected point.

The system can be commanded from the both the Slope Vision software and the MSR software to view an area where geotechnical warning(s) or alarm threshold(s) was reached, thus allowing viewing or recording of these areas while the MSR continues with its primary function of critical slope stability monitoring uninterrupted.

Features

  • Slope Vision software has the ability to connect 4 cameras without software licences.
  • Image and Video formats are compatible with most 3rd party software.
  • Multilingual software is available for iOS, Android and Windows platforms for ease of use.
  • Slope Vision can be programmed to record at predetermined dates or times and the information can be downloaded in a format that is compatible with any video player application.
